Seems like I am very philosophical lately. We had a week with jokes or fears about the end of the world which made me think “What if this is the last Christmas and we know it is?”.

I think this is a question worth exploring and therefore this weeks #MondayPrompt is

“The last Christmas ever!”

So please let the thoughts and idea about a last Christmas inspire you to write, verse, get creative in any form you like and if you want to link your creation to this blog or post it in a comment here. Thanks!

I will post my #MondayPrompt poem on Saturday!

I tried to escape the bandwagon of “The end of the world is near and it is 21/12/12” but I did not succeed. Somehow my mind is occupied with it and therefore our #MondayPrompt has to suffer from it ~ sorry :-)!

Well, my idea is not really of total chaos, earthquakes and asteroids crashing into our lovely planet. My interpretation is that our world has already changed enormously due to new scientific knowledge (quantum physics) which has changed our image of reality and world already as well as the technological developement in the last 20 years. I am a strong believer that we are all connected and that energy is the reason for it all. I believe that our hopes and thoughts are energy as well which have an enormous influence on what goes on in our reality. And therefore I believe if we concentrate on the advantages and good things that can happen in change we will create that good change! So join me in creating a positive change for us all in getting creative with my #MondayPrompt called”HOPE”!

So please let your dreams, hopes and wishes inspire you to write, verse, get creative in any form you like and if you want to: link your creation to this blog or post it in a comment here. Thanks!

I will post my #MondayPrompt poem on Saturday (if the world still exists that is of course 😉 )!

Travelling always makes me creative ~ I do not know why. Maybe because you just sit and let the landscape roll by which makes your thoughts just jump around.

We went to see my husbands mother yesterday which is always a joyful and lovely experience. We have been travelling about 1 1/2 hours to see her and suddenly I had a surge of ideas for the #MondayPrompt which will last me until 2013! Brilliant!

Of course 21/12/12 is on our minds at times. This let me to think about people I have been close throughout my life and who have left my life. There are some who just slipped away for no special reason. Some have left in anger and some I have left in anger. I hope all of them are doing well and have found their happiness. I also hope they have forgiven me as I have forgiven them. After years you often just do not know anymore why things happen.

There are also friends who have left but do come back. With some I know even though I do not have any contact right now with them they will be back when the time is right.

So for week 10 ~ 16/12/12 the #MondayPrompt is

“Lost Friends”!

So please let the thoughts of your lost friends inspire you to write, verse, get creative in any form you like and if you want to link your creation to this blog or post it in a comment here. Thanks!

New #MondayPrompt 03/12/~09/12/12 (#amwriting #poetry)

As I wrote last week things are going to change on my blogs.

#NaNoWriMo has given me a taste of writing a novel and I have to admit: I like it!

Trouble is: I have family, I am working and I am writing 7 blogs already without working on a novel.

So I have decided I have to downsize the blogging (again 😉 ).

I probably should just stop a few but I just can’t :-): They are like my babies you know ;-)!

Well, I am playing around with my blogs a lot. Trying out different ways and different themes. It is exactly what all those blog~advisers ask you to avoid because it supposedly annoys readers. (Sorry if that is the case guys and gals 😉 ) So now I will bundle my blogging in this blog which  means for Mondays you get the so~called #MondayPrompt which I started on my poetry blog .

On Mondays I give an idea for a poem and you can get creative and link back to this blog if you want to.

So today’s #MondayPrompt is a picture which came into my mind this morning:

Manta birostris-NOAA

This is a ray gliding through the ocean. I had that image in my mind that I was sitting on a beach as the sun comes up and then jumped into the water and swam with a manta ray.

So please let this picture of the ray inspire you to write, verse, get creative in any form you like and if you want to link your creation to this blog or post it in a comment here. Thanks!

Do you work with #writingprompts ?

As you might know I am bi-lingual (German/English) and I write in both languages. In May I found a wonderful lady on Twitter who has dedicated her blog to writing a poem daily two months a year (May & November). She gives a prompt every day in those months and you can get creative with those.

I liked that idea so much that I adopted it for once a week the whole year. It is called #MondayPrompt and you can either just use it for yourself or connect your poem with my poetry blog. So far no one has added anything on the English blog and only once on the German blog. Well, maybe of course my prompts are crap ~ who knows?????! 🙂

To be fair I have never worked a lot with prompts but recently I found it very helpful with writing poetry.

But the whole thing has made me wonder if other writers do work with writing prompt or are those just a gadget to play around?

What do you think? Do you use writing prompts? Do provide them maybe?

Would be lovely to hear from you!!!!
